Shades custom-designed fabric structure at the recently-opened Seastone by Holy Cow 605 Hotel in Phuket’s trendy Cherngtalay district graces the building rooftop terrace and serves as an all-weather gymnasium and fitness activities facility. Our design brief was to produce a shady but open-air area for daytime use but with the ability also to protect the equipment & all those fit guests inside from wind and rain (plus as always it had to look great!).
Our solution was a three-part steel structure each with its own panel of tensioned architectural fabric, with the uppermost panel overlapping the two sides to provide a weatherproof breezeway. White mesh fabric roller blinds provide weather protection around all sides when required. Another project we loved doing, all in the name of “fabric Imagineering”!
